This service is intended for manual workers looking to quickly find a job that matches their skills. It is available in both French and English.

This personalized service is intended for newcomers who have arrived in Canada within less than 5 years ago. It helps them better understand the specifics of Quebec’s labour market and develop a structured approach to finding a job that matches their qualifications and aspirations. It is available in both French and English.

Visible minorities
This personalized service is intended for individuals belonging to visible minorities, as defined by Statistics Canada*. It helps them better understand the specifics of Quebec’s labour market and develop a structured approach to finding a job that matches their qualifications and aspirations. It is available in both French and English.

- Conduct an active job search with the personalized guidance of a professional counselor during one-on-one sessions

Take advantage of personalized support throughout the program.
Moreover, participants benefit from one year of support after completing the program.
Eligibility criteria
- Being part of a visible minority, as defined by Statistics Canada*.
- Have no income, receiving employment benefit or last resort assistance
- Be 35 years old or older
- Speak and write in French or English
- Reside on the Island of Montreal
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
- Individuals with Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) status, as well as their spouses who hold a valid open work permit and meet the residency conditions stated on their permit
* “Visible minorities are defined based on the Employment Equity Act definition as persons, other than Aboriginal peoples, who are non-Caucasian in race or non-white in colour and include Chinese, South Asian, Black, Filipino, Latin American, Southeast Asian, Arab, West Asian, Japanese, Korean, other visible minorities and multiple visible minorities. Immigrant students include both first-generation immigrant youth (those born abroad) and second-generation immigrant youth (Canadian-born 15-year-olds who had at least one immigrant parents). The majority of both first- and second-generation immigrant youths were members of a visible minority group (66% and 52%, respectively). Visible minority immigrant youth accounted for 12% of Youth in Transition Survey participants while 75% were Canadian-born non-visible minority students.”
